Reset a User Secret Answer

You can reset a user’s password from the main User Administration page as a routine security update or if the user forgets it.  

 

To reset a secret answer:

Step 1: Click to select the radio button next to the name of the user whose secret answer you need to reset.

Step 2: Click Reset Secret Answer on the User Administration page toolbar. A message window opens, asking if you would like to continue.

Step 3: Click OK to continue or click Cancel to cancel the action.

Step 4: Make note of the Temporary Secret Answer.

IMPORTANT: The Temporary Secret Answer is not automatically sent to the user. You are responsible for advising the user of the Temporary Secret Answer in a secure manner. At the next login, the user will be required to change the secret answer.

Step 5: Click Continue. The secret answer is now reset.

Note: Account Contacts cannot access the Merchant Interface and therefore do not have a secret answer.
