Unlock a User Account

If a user attempts to log on to his or her account unsuccessfully five times, the account becomes locked and a lock icon appears as the user's status on the main User Administration page. In order for the user to access the account, an Account Owner or Account Administrator must unlock it.

 

To unlock a user's account, click the Unlock link next to the lock icon by the user's name on the User Administration page. The account is now unlocked and the user can log on.

If a user forgets their password, it may be necessary to unlock the user account and reset the account password. For more information about resetting a user's password, see the Reset a User Password topic.
