The Returned Transactions Report lists returns for the criteria you selected (by settlement date, batch date or Transaction ID). Results include chargebacks (disputes from customers) or eCheck.Net® transactions that were returned after processing.
The results for your report are displayed in descending order by Original Transaction ID, and include the following information:
Original Transaction ID—The transaction ID of the original transaction associated with the return or chargeback.
Invoice Number—The merchant-assigned invoice number associated with the transaction.
Type—The type of returned transaction (return or chargeback).
Return Code—The code associated with the reason for a returned transaction.
Note: For details about eCheck.Net return codes, please see the eCheck.Net Operating Procedures and User Guide.
Reason—The descriptive reason associated with the NOC Code that describes the corrected fields. This reason will indicate the field or fields of the transaction that have been corrected by the customer's bank.
Returned Date—The date and time the original transaction was returned. The time displays according to the time zone set for your account.
Returned Amount—The full or partial amount of the original transaction that was returned.
Submit Amount—The amount of the original transaction submitted for processing.
Original Settlement Batch—The date the original transaction was submitted to the bank for settlement.
Click the Next and Prev links at the top or bottom of the table to navigate backward and forward through the pages of records. You can also use the View All option to see all transactions on a single page. This is recommended only if the summary of transactions contains 20 or fewer records.
To view more details for a transaction, click the Transaction ID for the transaction you want to view. The Transaction Detail page opens.
By default, the transactions are sorted in descending order by Original Transaction ID. Clicking on a column header will sort the transactions in descending order according to the data in that column. Clicking again on the same column header will re-sort the transactions in ascending order. An arrow next to the column header indicates the current sort order for the result set.
An up-arrow indicates that the sort is ascending (A-Z), and a down-arrow indicates that the sort is descending (Z-A). You can sort transactions by the following columns: Original Transaction ID, Type, Return Code, Reason, Original Settlement Batch, Original Submit Amount, Returned Date, and Returned Amount.
