API Credentials & Keys

There are two types of keys available on this page: the transaction key and the signature key. The transaction key is used, along with the API login, to authenticate XML and delimited requests. The signature key is used to authenticate SIM requests and responses. For more information on using the signature key to construct a fingerprint for SIM transactions, see the SIM Developer Guide.

Your keys are unique pieces of information specifically associated with your payment gateway account. They should not be shared with anyone. Be sure to store these values securely on a server separate from your Web server and change your keys regularly to further strengthen the security of your account.

Each key will only be shown once, at the time of generation.

To create a Transaction or Signature Key:

Step 1: Choose either New Transaction Key or New Signature Key.

Step 2: If a previous key exists, choose whether to disable it. If you do not choose to disable the old key, it will expire in 24 hours from the generation of the new key.

Step 3:Verify your identity by requesting and supplying a PIN.

After verifying your identity, the key is shown.
